Cleves was once the best. Im not sure what happened. They are and regularly continue to be extremely sparse with the chili. The exact thing people go there for. I explicitly ask for EXTRA chili and am expecting to pay extra for it and yet the food still comes out with a pathetic amount of chili on it. Its almost laughable. Whats the deal? You cant put an extra 4oz scoop of chili on something for an extra buck 50? Good lord. It costs $30 to feed myself and 2 kids while drinking water. Put some brown on the plate!
I stopped in for lunch while driving through Ohio because I kept hearing about this famous regional fast food. I ordered the three-way which is spaghetti piled high with a really unique cinnamon-spiced meat chili and a literal mountain of shredded cheddar cheese. It sounds like a bizarre combination, but it is absolute comfort food heaven and completely hit the spot. The service was lightning fast, the booth was clean, and the server kept my soda topped off the entire time.
