Hulsebos saddle fitter was at my farm and related that the saddle Skylands Saddlery sold me was over 15 years old, had the entire seat replaced recently, and the broken tree area was very visible through the under lying midline spine of the saddle, and it had been there for quite a long time, as you could see the leather wear in that area. Bought saddle for $3500 few years ago. Was not disclosed history and age of the saddle. Now tree is broken. Owner is hard to reach, when was finally rech she was very hostile on the phone. Stay away!!!
the company sells old damage saddles. when comes to customer service became very hostile. Did not recommend company.
Kara has fitted saddles for me and my clients for several years. She is always very detailed oriented and concerned that she leaves her clients satisfied with the feel on their horses. This past week I thought my saddle needed a small tweak and she found the mini flocking problem right away. Kara and Alex make a good team between in the store and out in the field communication.
