Our extended family of 18 spent a delightful full week at Sky Valley Ranch Sunday June 28 to July 5. There was plenty of comfortable space for all of us to be together but also for smaller groups or individuals to have time away. People especially enjoyed congregating on the decks and adirondack chairs on the lower terrace. The view towards Steamboat is stunning morning through sunset. This house is great for large groups! Given the size, you can easily escape to work or take a nap. The kitchen is well stocked with any appliance and tool you might need for cooking, there is easy and ample parking for cars, the high ceilings and amazing views make it feel like your own private hotel. 10 minutes to town and ski area. Property is beautiful and in great location. House was nice but FULL of flies. We cleaned up probably 40+ dead flies upon arrival and continued to find a significant amount of dead flies throughout our stay. We lost power for a few hours which the host was accommodating about and did what they could. I also wouldn't recommend walking around inside without shoes on since a snag in the wood floors tore my sock.
Sky Valley Ranch was the perfect home base for a week of summer adventuring in Steamboat Springs. Our large group (7 adults and 4 kids) was able to comfortably spread out across three spacious floors. Even the baby had his own bedroom!
