I love Sky! Such a beautiful place, wonderfully friendly and helpful people. When the skies are gray, I make a point to head to Sky Nursery if only for a latte and to wander through the greenhouse, pondering plants, fountains, and all types of garden accessories. It's a don't miss...love, love, love!
Beware their grass seed! I prepped my lawn for reseeding including using Sky's bagged organic fertilizer and lime. I ended up with a massive Chickweed infestation. The Chickweed came up about the same time as the new grass seedlings. I never had Chickweed in my lawn before. The chickweed came up in the highest concentration where I put down the most grass seed. A Plant Lover's Dream Come True! Sky Nursery is a plant lover's dream come true. They have a wonderful selection of plants and shrubs, as well as a wide variety of statuary and fountains, etc. It is a perfect place to find a gift for that special someone.
Best Garden Center for the Beginning Gardener on a Budget – This is by far, the best nursery in the greater Seattle area for a beginning gardener. I did not find it first -- as other, far, far pricier nurseries in town are more famous in Ballard and in Woodinville - but I have found it to be the BEST, for several reasons: 1. great nursery Sky Nursery is one of my favorite nurseries to buy plants at. They have a wide variety of plants to buy that are ready to plant, and they have quite a few flowers too. I like that they have lots of organic stuff, and the prices are not too expensive. I just wish it was closer to where I live.
Excellent Sky Nursery is fantastic. They have a large seleciton of not just plants but trees especially fruit trees. We bought a couple and they have been hardy and healthy. They take good care of their plants.

If you garden, you have to come here! I am in the third year of gardening (I am living in a house with a lot of raised beds) and this is where I go to shop, to get advice, and to just dream or plan. It's a huge store on Aurora, with everything from seeds to plants to shrubs and trees. They always have lots of information handy, some classes on the weekends, and you can just ask the people there too.
