My 16-year-old nephew passed away three days ago after suffering cardiac arrest. He was transported by ambulance to the Emergency Room at Skokie Hospital. 3.5 hours of waiting and no help with damaged knee and leg. Awful experience makes me wonder what's the point of having insurance at all. Blood work has nothing to do with damaged knee... was offered Tylenol 20 min ago - still waiting for it.
If I could give it a zero I would. Very disorganized, nurses more interested in their cell phones and eating than the patients. I was the first person in at 6:45 am still here at 5:04. Waiting to be transferred to another hospital. Pancreatitis, very painful waited hours for pain meds, when I question the nurses don’t answer and basically ignore. Waited an hour for ice chips, after asking 3 times. Awfu
Came here with chest pains. Immediate care recommended i be seen at ER. I sat in lobby for 2 hours before being called. Everyone told me that 2 hours is considered fast. Really? So i got to patient room, apparently i only see three rooms occupied with curtains closed. All other rooms were empty. They were monitoring my blood pressure.... on my forearm/wrist which is odd. Not only that, when being discharged I was told to drink Gatorade, which made my symptoms even worse. Why did no one tell me to take probiotics to calm down... read more
