They are the “boat whisperers”. I have a 19’ Lyman inboard runabout in their dry stack. I use the concierge service for scheduling my boat to be launched & ready, & to return it to the dry stack. We bought a used boat from Skipper Bud's in Grand Haven, MI and we did not have a very positive experience. We trusted the information on the inspection report Skipper Buds did was correct and we bought the boat in the fall 2022. Skipper Bud's told us they would fix the items on the inspection list and charge the former owner who created an escrow account to pay for these items to be fixed. Beautiful boats. Good experience with sales department. SERVICE has been BRUTAL. They don't return calls. We had issues with our boat from the time it was delivered last spring. ALL summer they were supposed to come out and inspect and deal with the issues. The never showed. Didn't return calls. We were fine for them to be fixed in the fall. We recently purchased a boat (through a private party) that was located at Skipper Buds in Madison. Brandon and his crew were extremely helpful trying to load the boat even though we weren’t their customer. I would definitely recommend them. They were professional and quite accommodating. Thank you Brandon and crew!
Terrible customer service and grossly over priced. I cannot believe this company can stay in business after ripping off countless people. Be aware of Oshkosh skipperbuds. Stay away.
Communication from service to sales to lift installation is terrible. I would not recommend using skipper buds in the future for anything.
I tried buying a 260 Sundancer "Perky" (VIN# SERV1469H718). it is a 2018 boat. The agent (Brett) told me the price, I offered the same amount as the asking price. He told me that next offer was smaller than mine. Guess what - apparently "overnight" the boat sold for less than my offer and he is already in possession of the new sales contract - I am looking to speak with the owner of "Perky" as it smells fishy that a lower bid is accepted over higher one!!!! I just wonder if the owner even knew about my offer to begin with? ... read more
