When we have our grandchildren here for sleepovers, Skinners is ALWAYS on the agenda. They love picking out their penny candy and putting it in their candy baskets to bring back to Susa & Papa's house. That is a childhood memory that they will always delight in and remember❣
My husband and I stop there every Friday night if possible. This is where we get our ice cream/ frozen yogurt. It is great. I also shop there for some sugar free candy, and special occasions. Their chocolates are right up there with the best.
This is a family owned, local sweet shop. They serve Richardson ice cream in more flavor so than can eat in a season. Their frappes are among the best around, I'm partial to the orange cream ( which is like the old fashioned "creamsicle" while my wife loves the chocolate. They also have a huge assortment of "penny candy" and chocolates. If you're a turtle fan, try the dark chocolate pecan turtles.
