Great value, comfortable atmosphere – If you are looking for fine dining, then look elsewhere. Skinners is far from it, however your experience will far surpass any upscale dining experience. Their food, which goes under the category "greasy bar food" is amazing and cheap! Great specials like beer of the month pints for $2, half-off appetizers (until4pm) on Sundays, along with many others! This place is the best!! – I just want to say that this is one of the best kept secrets in all of the Twin Cities. Nowhere will you find such great value, and such welcoming proprietors. The booths in the bar may be a little worn, but that is easy to look past once you have a delicious meal, drinks, and your bill doesn't require you to take out a second mortgage!! very poor customer service – We've given Skinner's 3 chances, and now they're out for good! 1. Carryout pizza: we had to wait an extra 10 minutes after they said it would be done, but the pizza was pretty good, and the jalapeno poppers were awesome. 2. We sat down to dine-in, got drinks from the bar because no one came to ask us what we wanted, drank our whole drink without so much as a "we'll be right with you" (we were totally ignored), and so we just left after being ignored for 45 minutes.
