I took a hairstyling class with Cindy who showed me how to do bridal soft waves & it was so helpful! I loved how she structured the class. She first demoed on a model, walking me through each step & answering every question along the way. Then I worked on my own model while she gave me gentle guidance in the moment. I chose Cindy Le from Skincere Studios (based in Fairfax, VA) for my wedding weekend HMUA, and I honestly couldn’t have asked for anyone better. Finding a hair and makeup artist who truly understands Southeast Asian features — and who goes beyond the typical Korean-style makeup — was such a challenge, but Cindy completely nailed it. When I say it was HOT on my wedding day I mean we were SWEATING. But you couldn’t even tell because of how well Cindy beat up my face. I got so many compliments and my makeup did not move all night. Even the trial makeup held just as good. And I put that makeup to every test possible (😉). But truly 80% humidity, 92F, and feels like 110 and it did not move.
