I think you need to be into your Scottish or Irish heritage to fully enjoy this event, that said, I'm glad I went!!
Once again, the highland games were in town. Seemed there were fewer vendors than last year, but still lots of fun. A great family day. Bring lots of money though four meat pies, and four lemonades will cost you a hundred dollars. It will be about the same for a family of 4 to get in the gate. Best site we have been hosted at to date. The renn faire is going so smoothly, and the skagit fairgrounds, the city of mt vernon, and the planning committee have done an amazing job. The performers and vendors even have a place indoors to cool off!
