My experience with Sixt has been an absolute nightmare. I was charged for a traffic violation that occurred 13 days BEFORE I even picked up the rental car. This is unacceptable. When I tried to dispute it, the branch told me to call customer service. I then spent an entire day being endlessly routed between departments, given numbers that led to US-based agents who couldn't access Canadian records. I rented a car from Sixt Toronto Downtown for two days and returned it on time, where I was supposed to. However, I was overcharged because the vehicle wasn’t checked in until two days later. I contacted their customer service multiple times, spent hours on the phone (paying for international calls!), and was promised a refund via wire transfer of 176 USD / 198 CAD.
