Update: Sixt’s COO finally replied, but it’s just a lazy lie—they say “no ring found” after a “thorough investigation,” but I know exactly where I left it. That 2-carat diamond ring (my entire life’s savings, $50k) was in the front passenger cup holder of the rental car (Agreement #9603983231, Plate HIBC-76) when I returned it on 8/29. Great car, cool experience but why is taken a month plus and I still haven’t seen my deposit back? No damage was found and I even called and they told me they can’t help me because in their system it shows as released. If it’s been released and I spoke with my bank, there are no holds and no deposit paid back so where is the deposit? I was told to wait an additional 10 days and try calling again but they basically made it seem like I’m “out of luck”. I recently rented a car from Sixt at Honolulu International Airport (rental agreement #9603983231, license plate HIBC - 76). After returning the car on August 29, 2025, I discovered that I had left a highly valuable 2 - carat solitaire oval diamond ring in white gold (size 6, simple band) inside.
