We had a terrible experience with this car rental company. When we rented the car, the employee (who was already making inappropriate and offensive jokes about Italians) asked us for a $200 deposit. After returning the car, not only did they fail to refund the deposit, but once we were back in Italy, they also charged us an additional $900 without any explanation. I booked a Luxury Mercedes but was handed a Volvo station wagon instead (which is under their "Premium" class). When I questioned it, the associate lied to my face, insisting it was “Luxury.” No refund was given. I complained to customer service, and upon return the manager admitted he knew about my complaint. The car was fully inspected at return and confirmed with no damage. Then, 5 days later, Sixt suddenly claimed there was a scratch — obvious retaliation. I don’t recommend renting here. They close too early and don’t have after hours key drop-off option. We also didn’t have a good experience with the person that we interacted with.
