Huge shout out to Matthew who was able to help us with our rental and some confusion with the booking dates, he completely saved us and we can't thank him enough. Made a trip south and back an absolutely incredible day.

It's was a pleasant experience to rent a car in San Francisco as the location isn't too crowd and a nice place to pick up and return. I booked the smaller car but when I pick up, they only left mini vans and other luxury cars so they gave as a free upgrade to the Chrysler and I am somewhat satisfied with that. The car was also clean and no mechanical issues. No additional driver fees needed if you are an immediate relative is a plus. I would recommend to rent at Sixt if you want to be convenient and fast.
I was promised on a phone call that I would be able to rent a front wheel or four-wheel-drive car to take to the mountains, but when I showed up for my rental, I was told there was nothing of that sort available. The desk clerk said he would call me in the afternoon to tell me if a car of that sort had been returned, but he never did call. So, I had to make other arrangements at the last minute.
