I was disappointed with the service at this hotel. The property looks nice, but the customer service did not match. At check-in, staff were unhelpful with parking and pressured me to use valet, even though I only needed a temporary spot before moving my car to the free parkade behind the hotel. Nice new hotel with Dartmouth themed interior. Poorly managed. For example: for an unknown reason, they changed our reservation from two to one night. We returned at about 5 pm and the lobby desk was unattended. The breakfast includes average bagels and muffins, and the toaster didn’t work. Overall, it’s a nice hotel but it doesn’t seem like there there is a manager on staff or that they care about service.
Hiking the Appalachian trail and called and asked ahead if a package could be sent here even though we weren't able to stay. They responded that they would be able to hold the package and took my name and contact info. Arrived to find that they had turned away the package 3 days prior without notifying me. Despite the fact that they had my contact info and had agreed to hold the package. Frankly terrible service, if they had a policy against holding packages I don't know why I was given incorrect information over the phone.
Stayed at Six South St. Hotel in Hanover, NH, in early May 2026 for business and was later charged a $70 “parking” fee even though I arrived by bus, had no car, and never used any parking service. When I first inquired about it on the phone, I was told it was like a deposit for incidentals, and that the fee would be reversed.
