They have funding to help families who have lost their homes due to fires or domestic violence but they WITHHOLD that funding based on their whims using lots of excuses and pointing fingers at government regulations. Here on the coast even low income housing is converting to AirB&B style vacation housing that is available for families to move in right now but SOS needs to stop making up excuses and start looking for solutions outside their microscopic box.
My senior friend went in to do Liheap business for 2019. He did not understand the process and it went terribly for him. I was able to reach out to all the places I could think of, with only one (hopefully minor) misstep on my part [sorry bout that]. Once Siuslaw outreach services was made aware of the misunderstanding, they reached immediately and are helping to resolve the issue. Thank you SOS for being so responsive.
This is a women’s center that denies men service. They did nothing to assist me, while pushing false protection orders. The guy in charge, Bob might be his name, began shouting at me when I asked to call an employee as a witness. Turned out she was illegal. This place is heavily biased towards women and does nothing for men. Needs to be replaced with quality altruistic service.
