Took over a month to put in a simple order for a sleep test despite clearly stating the dire need to fix my sleep and despite several calls and messages. I finally got my sleep test and they are once again slow. Nearly a month has passed AFTER Memorial analyzed the data. The VA and Memorial have had to reach out multiple times when SIU should have done that in the first place. They take over a week to respond to portal messages. Total nightmare. I've been working with Dr Shalini Chiravuri and she has been excellent. Staff in the pulmonology department and in their lab that I have seen have all been well trained, polite, and kind.
Waited on hold thirty minutes to schedule an appointment. Hung up.
My wife has been waiting for sleep study results to be sent so she can follow up at Lincare. She was told it would take a week. It has now been over a month and we are still waiting after multiple phone calls and requests. Nurse practioner was nice, but the way we have gotten the run around is NOT GOOD patient care. This does not reflect well on SIU School of Medicine or the pulmonology department.
