Took my mother for a hearing test and new hearing aids. Arrived early, sat for over 20 minutes past scheduled 9:15 appointment time. Audiologist did not introduce herself until I finally asked her name. She explained they would check my mom's insurance and let her know what hearing aids she could get. We asked if she could pay the difference for possible upgrade, told no. Asked if she could bypass insurance to get a really good pair? Again told no. I took my father here for a consultation. As soon as we checked in, they took him back to the exam room. Everyone was very polite and professional. They all did their jobs, and we were out of there in less than an hour. All in all, a decent place, from what I could tell. They referred him to another doctor, and we'll go from there.
Went to SIU Audiology to get fitted w my first hearing aids today I have had moderate to severe hi freq loss for 15 to 20 years just recently more problematic understanding accents, in noisy environs, and certain soft letters like s's Very appreciate of Marissa Butcher and Dr Rays service Tho I heard birds and kids like I haven't in a long time, after several weeks I decided I could manage without it it wasn't worth the price and returned it while I still could I am happy that my health insurance now covers hearing aids so u... read more
This place is a very nice and well kept place. The staff is super friendly. But when you drive two hours and they offer nothing to help it gets ridiculous. They told us it was worth the drive since they would be able to help out and once we see the dr they say there is nothing we can do so I do not know why they made you drive this far. We were beyond mad. We will never be back.
