Had the best experience getting fitted for ski gear here. Steve is so knowledgeable in brands/material/technology of the gear and equipment-that is truly the difference than buying online. Will be a customer for life!
I stopped in, on Black Friday, to check out ski boots. Chris spent about a hour with me, making sure I had the right boot, for me. He asked questions and brought out several options for me to try. I was kinda nervous about it, because I’m a beginner, with wide feet and calves. But after a couple boots, I slipped into the most comfortable one and just had to get them. He did a great job! I previously left a negative review about repairs to my ski. Although the repair was not done well, I feel like my review was too harsh. I am sorry for being too critical of the techs. Even though I had to redo the repair myself, I learned a lot by doing it (photos below). In retrospect, it would have been better address the issue privately. Do not take your skis or snowboard for repair at sitzmark. The techs here were incompetent. I had a gash in my base down to the core, and the edge was slightly bent and unglued. All they did was glue what was left of the base flap and fillef the rest with ptex. The edge was still bent and the base was not sealed. They completely botched the job. I found an awesome repair video on YouTube, by Brandon at Start Haus Skiing & Bike in California and did it myself. It turned out perfect and the edge is now straight and intact. I w... read more
