I was craving pho while I was at the Davis Hospital, in which my wife had just given birth. I needed a place to relax. I thought to myself “what better way to relax than to eat pho?”. I’m usually pretty picky when it comes to pho, but seeing the reviews on here I had to try for myself. I think what I was impressed with the most was the speedy service. The broth is good and has a rich flavor, but the meat was disappointing. The brisket in particular was sliced quite thick despite being fairly tough, which made it less enjoyable. It also seemed like some of the meats used for the broth, including the ribeye, were overcooked. The oxtail, however, was much more tender. Best pho in Davis, which is mind blowing, considering this is new and beating out pho shops that have been hear since I was 12 years old. Portions to price ratio is fair. I'd tell you what's best but I gotta save this insanity for myself.
