This is a great bar for date night! Very intimate lighting with limited seating. Calm, quiet, excellent music. Just enough ambiance to keep everyone in their own world. Highly recommend.
We rented out Sister Hen for our wedding after party and it was THE BEST time!! The bartenders working the event were so great, making sure we were all taken care-of with the snacks and cocktails. We were staying at Lily Hall so it was super convenient for us and honestly the best decision we made. Also the drinks were AMAZING!!! Not really a Speakeasy. It was very loud. A Speakeasy should be quiet, low lighting, a place you can wind down and relax and have a conversion without straining to hear what is being said. It was more like a bar, not a Speakeasy. My drink was good, but that was it. This place needs to reevaluate the definition of a Speakeasy. The website was misleading. Sister Hen, or SH for quiet was completely the opposite. I will not be back. Brother Fox, however was very good.
I have been to a few different speak easys. This place misses the mark. To loud and to well lit. Would suggest they have a table "card" explaining the shhhh... policy.
