I used to use Alan going from the late 90s but hadn't built a motor since around 2009 and therefore I hadn't had to use him since. I went back to him late last year and found it incredibly painful to get a quote (after maybe 5 attempts still no quote) painful to get the bill after you give up on the quote and just authorise to do and charge. After several weeks all I managed to get from him was a hot tank and crank grind and they were more expensive than every other quote I did manage to get afterwards just for comparison sa... read more
After being a 25yr customer it pains me to say that I will never us Sircar Engines again. Not commenting on quality of workmanship as that is good. Just the whole experience as a customer is poor, everything takes years, you get lied to and made to feel terrible. Forget about warranty also, a million and one excuses and the motor sits for months with nothing done. Do yourself a favour and avoid the hassle, use a reputable company not this one
