I cannot believe the Banting Homestead has been open to the public for years and I have not visited, living in Alliston since 1986. I saw a post regarding an open house event on Remembrance Day. So after attending the Cenotaph Service in Alliston I headed north on C.3 to the beautiful homestead. There is so much I did not know about Sir Frederick Banting. What an accomplished individual.
