The room has recently been nicely refurbished. The room we were in #16 was large, airconditioned and easy access to the pool. The only negative was the mattress on the beds were rather hard but that’s the only issue we had. We had a microwave, TV, fridge, kettle, iron and extra blankets too. There was a restaurant on the premises but we didn’t eat there. The hostesses were lovely ladies and nothing seemed too much trouble. Would we stay again? Yes we would.

It’s an older-style motel with a definite workman and truck-driver vibe. One of the more amusing features is the two sets of lounges out the front of two of the rooms, one labelled “Qantas Lounge” and the other “Virgin Lounge” very bogan, but also pretty funny! We had called the motel and booked a room a few weeks earlier. When we arrived around 7 pm, the lady at the front desk, who was not very friendly, asked for $180 for the night. The prices we had seen on the website were $151 for a queen bed room per night. She insisted that this was the correct price and that it was non-negotiable. Additionally, the air conditioner was not working properly and was very noisy, making it impossible to sleep in the cold 4-degree temperature all night.
