Drove 3 hours to snowboard here, went to the rental spot to get our gear and the man there I didn’t catch his name, but he was tall and had a pony tail. He was incredibly rude to every person that walked in. All of us were doing this for the very first time so we didn’t know what to expect. He kept talking and looking at us like we were stupid. He was belittling a child in front of everyone because the kid came in asking for a bigger size shoe because there was a rock in the boot so he couldn’t get his foot it and he didn’t ... read more
The rooms are FREEZING, so so so so cold, they gave us space heaters though. A lot of the hills were closed beside the green hill and one black, and 2 blue hills.
The pullout bed is full of bugs and no one has responded to my calls about the issue.
As long as you manage your expectations, Sipapu is a great family-friendly place to spend a weekend on the slopes. The rooms are older, but clean and the lift tickets are incredibly inexpensive. If you’re looking for amenities like you’d find in larger resorts, this may not be the place for you. Lodging WiFi is a little iffy, but we had no trouble with our AT&T service, so we just turned the hotspot on our phones and it worked out great. We had an absolutely awesome time at Sipapu and will definitely be returning. So affordable and such kind staff. Everything was do-able for our new-to-skiing family and they had more extreme options for advanced folks. Could not recommend this beautiful spot more!!
