I want to sincerely thank all the staff at Singleton Hospital for the exceptional care I received and continually receiving. From the moment I walked into ED, I was met with kindness of a very polite young lady at reception, followed by professional and compassionate attention from the triage nurse, ED nursing staff, imaging team, and 2 x doctors. Been told my entire life that if you think you are having a medical emergency to go to emergency department straight away. Thought I was stroking or having a heart attack. Was panicking. Went into Singleton Emegency. Triage looked me over and said someone will be with me soon did not inform me that there was nothing serious..waited 2 hours still uninformed to be called in by a student nurse who asks a series of personal questions then comes back in and says we can leave. Normally I’ve had quite good experiences at Singleton, but yesterday was low-key horrible. I had been in hospital a week prior for a staph infection and another abscess had reappeared so as I had been advised, I went to the ED and was seen relatively fast but instead of getting any blood works or anything done they gave me 10 days worth of antibiotics that didn’t work hence why I was back in hospital in the first place. In emergency the Doctor was really lovely there and patient. Didn't have to wait long . The layout of hospital is nice to.
