Singer Castle is the only remaining/existing castle on our river to be completed, fully furnished and lived in during the heyday of the great builders and industrialists in New York. Singer castle is definitely worth a look see but it's a shame to see it falling into disrepair and not being cared for like it used to be in the past. lots of dirt lots of cob webs. It's not getting the attention it deserves. The history is very interesting and the two castle tour is a nice tour on Sam's. This is Apollo your guide tour.You cannot go off on your own and you cannot bring anything except a bottle with the cap water to the grounds. There are. I am completely obsessed with old houses/mansions. Luckily, all four of my kids seem to also enjoy them (and my husband tags along). I had visited Boldt Castle twice before, but never made it to Singer Castle. I'm so glad we could go this time! The castle and grounds are beautiful. We did the tour through Uncle Sam Boat Tours.
