The receptionist who answers the phone is terribly rude. She put me off 2 times, and told me to call back in July. Then the 3rd time I called and left another message to be a new patient. The receptionist returned my call and first said the doctor was not comfortable dealing with eating disorder. I explained I could find a group setting for my eating disorder but that I chose him because he does EMDR for patients with PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Dr. Sine is not trauma informed. His intake process is harmful and insensitive to those that have experienced trauma or are currently depressed. My experience in his office was highly triggering and left me without support or the help that I needed. He is insensitive, highly unskilled at reading peoples emotional states and has very poor relational skills.
I am appalled that after 8 years meeting with Dr. Larry Sine, I was dropped as his client because I changed my insurance carrier believing that he was an authorized provider. I received no follow up phone call by his office regarding this, and after 8 years, I would have appreciated a phone call or final appointment with Dr. Sine for closure and an opportunity to tell him thank you for being emotionally supportive all those years. 1-star rating because there was no aloha in our goodbye.
