Credit card machine was down, declining all transactions but they looked at me like it was my fault. I didn't get notifications from my bank, as it usually would if a transaction was declined for fraudulent activity, the card was just quickly declined as if it wasn't really connecting to the server. This would be fine if the cashier offered any type of assistance besides just staring at me blankly. Thankfully a kind customer with cash stepped up and offered to pay for my purchase. Kuddos to that guy.
