Stopped on our way up north, excellent service with friendly staff. Our food was very good- house made pastrami Rueben and the night’s special, swordfish. Their french fries are hand cut and delicious. The warm rolls with a fantastic roasted garlic spread was lovely. The brandy old fashioneds with house made cocktail mushrooms can’t be missed. Highly recommend Simpson’s!
This restaurant has been a premier supper club since the 30’s. It has a nice atmosphere and good service. The food was excellent in the past but our visit was very disappointing. The broiled shrimp and scallops had a coating and were over cooked. The mixed veggies were oily. Our other dinner was the braised lamb shank. Food was good, service was decent. We sat in the front room by the bar and it always seemed to take a bit for our waitress to come over. Also the reciept not being itemized was weird. Don’t know if I trust it
Great food, service and atmosphere. Old fashioned Supper Club feel. Seafood stuffed Haddock was great. Very rich. My husband loved his Salmon. Definitely will be back again!
Kind of a 2 part review here. First off fabulous service and great atmosphere. Waitress was fabulous and service and drinks were great. Food though..... 54 dollars for a 16 ounce prime rib that tasted 2 day old and gristly. My son and I look at each other and we're like ugh. Had a party of 10 for Fathers Day. Should have sent back but didn’t. High cost for low quality.
