This was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had. At Simply Pho & Grill, I saw roaches and flies, and the kitchen looked extremely messy. The bathroom was honestly like something out of a horror movie. They were also using one of the dining tables as a storage/closet area, with shoes and medicine sitting on top. I’m sharing this to warn other customers. I would not return or recommend this place.

This place was absolutely filthy. My family and I love Pho so we wanted to try this place out. When we ordered, we saw a cockroach run across the counter. Knowing that this is Houston and it’s possible that the roach came in the door as we opened it, I decided to let it go. However, once we began to eat my brother in law found a small roach in his pho. I have never walked into a restaurant and seen 5 roaches by the time I sit down until now. The whole place is dirty, the kitchen's cluttered and filled with open food containers and roaches are -everywhere-. if the dead and smashed roaches on the floors and walls doesn't bother you the live ones running up and down the coke machine will, especially once you remember you just saw all those open food containers in the kitchen. Fresh, comforting, and full of flavor! The pho had a rich, aromatic broth with tender ingredients, while the grilled dishes added a delicious smoky touch. A cozy spot for a satisfying Vietnamese meal.

So..... If I was to base this review strictly off the pho it would be a solid 3/5. The broth was average, noodles cooked well, and the amount of meat given to you for the price was more than fair. The service was what you expect from an order at the counter place, no fuss and fast. Unfortunately, all other aspects of our visit forces me to leave a one star rating.
