When it rained or there were strong winds I could not use the phone-app or the website dashboard to turn on or turn off my alarm system. In additions there were times when I was unable to turn my alarm off, I then entered my home which caused the siren to sound but because of the poor cellular service simplisafe never called to alert me of a illegal entry. I have had SimpliSafe for almost a year now. I have used both the basic monitoring package and the interactive monitoring package. I have never had any false alarms while using the system and I sleep sound at night knowing I have the system. HOWEVER, Ring recently released their system which runs on the same technology (Z-wave) and they offer their top of the line monitoring service for $10.00 a month or $100.00 per year. My experience with Simplisafe in the D.C. Metro Area has been very positive. They are affordable and dependable. While calls to customer support can take some patience, the customer service on the other end of the line has been nothing short of exceptional. Representatives are extremely courteous and follow-up when they say they will. Representatives send you batteries and equipment tape quickly when asked and even unprompted.
