Founded by Grant Smith, a commercial engineer and project manager turned residential contractor, we started Simpleside Construction in 2014. We use current design software and technology to provide our clients with a detailed view of their home renovation project. Furthermore, we set expectations based on our client's preferences and deliver high-quality craftsmanship to the Outer Banks. Our clients are our highest priority as a new and growing business on the Outer Banks.

Grant and his team have completed three projects at my home. The results speak for themselves. They are professional and thorough, and they are RELIABLE . I highly recommend them.
States “free estimates” on the website, but contractor was unwilling to provide a ballpark estimate for siding replacement for a property I am looking into purchasing. I provided the listing details and a video of the project. I also would have happily requested permission from the owner for you to go on-site if necessary. I am doing my due diligence and came to you because of your 5 star rating. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. The lady on the phone was polite, however, thus the 2 star.
I contracted with Simpleside Construction to reside my home with CertainTeed Cedar Impressions, complete replacement of top deck, replacement of all exterior stairs, replacement of all deck railings on the house and replacement of lattice wall on one side of the house. Without a doubt Grant and his team are the best. I could repeat everything everyone else has said - but just read them. I wish every contractor or service provider I had to deal with were as professional and responsive as these guys. Colin was our project manager and he definitely went the extra mile to make sure we were 100% satisfied. Would definitely recommend them (and already have) and use them again.
