Food was excellent. The bartender struggled with the draft beer so each glass had way too much head. Live music was good but a bit loud for the space. Service was good. Ambience of the old building was cool. Some of the best gumbo I’ve ever had. Crawfish egg rolls were great. I would definitely come back.

Great menu full of Cajun classics. Crawfish egg rolls, mushrooms stuffed with seafood stuffing, bacon & cheese, seafood gumbo & shrimp & grits were all delicious. Great location downtown Decatur close to the river. They even do private parties upstairs 💪🏾
We were really disappointed with our experience at Simp McGee’s. For a bill of over $100, we expected much better quality and service. The drinks tasted like they were pre-made instead of freshly prepared. We ordered the Firecracker Shrimp appetizer, but it honestly reminded us of frozen popcorn shrimp from Walmart with sauce poured over the top. After that, we waited over an hour for our entrées. Probably the absolute worst meal I have ever ate.The crab cake was just a flour patty ,they forgot the crab! She crab soup was greasy gravy and once again forgot the crab.If i could give 0 stars thats what it would have gotten. DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS PLACE. NASTY!°
