I saw Sharon in 2021 for several months. Her expertise and compassion helped me immensely through a very hard family issue. I found her to be a good listener who adapted to my needs. She was amazing at helping me identify my feelings, process them, stop giving negative thoughts and self talk too much bandwidth, and eventually grant myself the grace and forgiveness I didn't know I needed. I saw Sharon for a while and she was pretty helpful. She helped me to get through a rough patch and see the light at the end of the tunnel. That being said, our sessions ended abruptly after she tried to lecture me on politics when I was trying to open up to her. So unprofessional, but not something that conservatives don't deal with when going to counseling due to the general crowd who become counselors. After that, I felt pretty alienated and never called back. Beware.

Sharon is a hard hitting therapist who will tell you like it is. And I enjoyed that about her. However, in the process of her being hard hitting she lacks a true empathy to understand her patients. You can be hard hitting and still acknowledge and work through your patients problems. She can also make some VERY ignorant generalizations. She made a comment about Muslims that just rubbed me completely wrong. I just attribute that to her experience in social work and her experience with others being a tad outdated for her frame... read more
