Simmons Auto is a fantastic shop! They are honest and won't over-sell unnecessary services. I have been taking my cars to Simmons for close to 15 years. I have a high mileage vehicles and Simmons helps me get the best out of them. The mechanics there have replaced transmissions, fixed AC, brakes, tune-ups, everything! I highly recommend them.
I initially trusted this shop after having my front brakes replaced with no issues, but unfortunately my experience changed. One major issue is communication, specifically the lack of it. Even scheduling an appointment was difficult. I had to call multiple numbers several times, and when I arrived during posted “open” hours, no one was there. I have a 1987 Chevy El Camino that I took in there to get the motor rebuilt after a month and a half later it was finally supposed to be done found out that they replaced the engine and didn't rebuild it, I wanted to keep everything original on it, after I drove it home I found out somebody had stole the cruise control system off of it and spray painted the area where it was so it looked like it was never there, I called them they said they would take care of it.
