I was a patient at Simmondley medical practice for over 20 years. I moved to Stalybridge 4 years ago and went to see a GP I had never seen before. after 30 seconds he diagnosed me with PTSD. I have had these symptoms for over 50 years since was 12 years old, 8 years before PTSD was a diagnosis. I went to Simmondly medical with symptoms of depression and hot sweats etc and nobody picked up what was wrong. This isn’t just neglect or poor care it is clinical ignorance at an extreme level. Won’t accept patients unless they live in Simmondley 🤷.The receptionist took great pleasure in telling me no despite me living closer to that surgery than any other.It came across as snobbery.Last time I checked Simmondley was in Glossop
Where else would you ring up a surgery for an appointment and get one the same day. Everyone from Dr Parikh , to the nurses to the amazing receptionists are brilliant. Especially, thanks to Dr Parikh and Deryn today. We are SO lucky in Simmondley. Thank you.
I’ve lived in quite a few places and had different surgeries. This is by far the best especially with the way the NHS is struggling. Reception staff are helpful and the doctors have always been quick to help and reliable
