We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Silwood Apartment with Yvonne and Glen being excellent hosts. We initially booked for 2 nights and then extended our stay for a further 4 nights. The accommodation was very clean, well presented and well stocked. Little things like freshly baked bread made our stay more homelike. When next in Devonport we will certainly be checking if Silwood Apartment is available. We arrived as guests and left as friends.

A beautiful place to stay. Yvonne and Glen are fantastic hosts and are very warm and welcoming. The apartment has everything you need to make you feel at home, and is very clean, comfortable and spacious. Thank you again Yvonne and Glen, best wishes from Ally and Terry.

My Amiga Anne & I had a lovely one night stay at this lovely self contained apartment. It was clean, huge clean bathroom, & fully equipped with all kitchen stuff that I needed to do cooking. Our host Yvonne was really lovely & even baked us fresh bread & cookies. In return of her lovely hospitality, I gave her a bowl of delicious smoked salmon pasta & coconut prawns that I cooked last night. I’ll booked this place again on my next visit to Tasmania. Fantastic place to stay. The hosts make you feel very welcome, room is 10 star with everything you need, like a home away from home.

Silwood Apartment has so much charm. Historic but with all the modern comforts. The host, Yvonne, goes out of her way to ensure your stay is way above the average Fresh home made bread on arrival with fresh fruit preserves, eggs and bacon are just some of the little touches. The history of this homestead is worth looking into. Yvonne talks lovingly about its history.
