Amiga Sylvia is my favorite hair artist on the Upper West Side. She’s sooo talented and has created such a beautiful, clean, and welcoming salon for everyone in the neighborhood … mamas, dads, kids, and the LGBTQ+ family alike Whether I’m coming in for a wash, a blowout, or braids, I always feel taken care of. Her cornrows and braids are fantastic, and the atmosphere she and her team create is consistently kind, relaxed, and professional. My first time here at Silvia , I called to book ahead and was able to get an appointment quickly and easily. I was taken care of by Silvia herself and it was an experience I have never had before in a hair salon. I felt like family, it was a good upbeat environment to be in, I was smiling the whole time! I came into touch up my red hair due to my roots growing in and to trim my hair.
