When available this is a very valuable service but apparently they are not always so in the East Bay. Call far in advance to insure a reservation. Berkeley/Oakland area needs its’ own service!

I have used this service many times in the past and had no complaint at all. This time despite calling a week in advance to book a ride they refused to do it! They mumbled some nonsense about all of their drivers being busy dealing with other commitments. I filled out the on-line booking form in the hope that someone with better sense would respond to it but it was ignored. It's not likely I'll do business with these folks again. Centurion Medical Transportation booked the ride immediately and provided excellent service.

Just used SilverRide the first time this afternoon from hospital to home. Scheduling was easy. They contacted the medical facility directly, the facility was very familiar with their service, I did not have to lift a finger. The driver showed up on time, was polite, and walked me to the door. Will use them again if the time comes.

Very poor service from the company, and terrible customer service. A bad idea for anyone who finds themselves within this company's orbit.

The main thing to note here is that Silver Ride charged me $52 for a1 mile ride! Go ahead and book them if that sounds reasonable to you...
