I visited Silver Lake Ramen in Oxnard today and had a disappointing experience. The hostess on shift was unprofessional and seemed biased. There were four empty tables; two just needed to be cleared. With only two people on the waitlist, she refused to seat guests, said it was takeout only, yet made no effort to call or update anyone. I'm surprised that there are any bad reviews for this place. I eat here at least once a week and it is 10/10 every time. I typically order the classic ramen with pork. The broth is rich, flavorful and delicious. It's always fresh tasting and I crave it if I haven't had it in a while. It is walk up ordering and a casual atmosphere, They keep very busy so I have no expectations on how long it should take or how friendly the staff is. I just want their ramen!

Silverlake Ramen has easily become one of my go-to spots after a long day at work. I usually order the ramen with a side of gyoza, and it never disappoints. The broth is rich and flavorful, the noodles are always cooked perfectly, and the gyoza comes out hot and crispy every time. There’s just something super comforting about this place that keeps me coming back. The atmosphere is great, the staff is friendly, and the food is consistently amazing. Definitely a 10/10 and a spot I’d recommend to anyone craving good ramen.
