Silvergreens. Back to our roots. 23 years ago, Silvergreens set out to be one of the first healthy quick-service restaurants of its kind. We called it Silver Greens Salad House and focused on well, delicious salads. Soon after we added our own bakery, created healthy sandwiches served on our fresh baked bread, and handmade large batches of fresh soup. Looked like a cool little place but service was poor. Employees acted like they didn't care. Also, while trying to enjoy our meal they had explicit music playing loudly. Food was ok but we do not plan on going back.
Silvergreens - BBQ CHOP SALAD & CHICKEN RANCH SANDWICH!!! Kim Cameron, Valencia, CA I used to eat at Silvergreens all the time while I was attending UCSB. I like the BBQ Chop Salad, and the Chicken Ranch Sandwich. They make a killer breakfast burrito too (but, The Cantina's are better)! Everything was always fresh and delicious!
Wow!! Silvergreens has finally figured out what restaurants have failed to do for years -- provide healthy, tasty, real food in a quasi-fast food setting. From steak to veggie burgers to amazing Ahi Tuna salads and soups (not to mention totally addictive french fries), this conscientious company provides nutitional value for all meals they serve. Totally worth the trip!!
Silvergreens A variety of soups salads and sandwiches to choose from. The receipts for your meal also includes the calories you will be consuming so you can be as healthy as you want. There are milkshakes on the menu and the sandwiches come with a free cookie, so thats a plus!
silvergreens i went to UCSB, so i was a frequent visitor to silvergreens. i loved their potato chedder soup. but, when i recently visited the soup had less taste and no potato chunks anymore. it was still good but i would've preferred the original making.
one of my faves – This is one of my fave places to eat in IV. The breakfast burrito is good and very cheap. And they started offering it 24 hours, too. The oreo cookie shake is one of the best I've ever had. Their menu has a lot of variety and they have a soda bar, too.
Too expensive for not much food The food here is OK. It's well constructed, even if it isn't all that tasty. The problem is mainly the price: it's too expensive for food that isn't very enjoyable. I feel like I'm on a diet when I go there. That's not much of an argument to go there!
Healthy and Hearty Portions For what you pay, this is the perfect college town eatery. They have sandwiches, salads, pasta dishes and soups, and any mixture thereof. I like the tuna melts and soda syrups. Most plates come with a thin and crispy chocolate chip cookie. Nice interior and lots of seating. I think I remember not liking the music.
