My mother is 100 years old and has been a resident at Silverado, Alexandria for about eight months. Prior to that she lived with my wife and me for thirteen years. Over time, she began experiencing symptoms of dementia, and about a year ago she started having occasional falls in our home. I toured several memory care communities for my spouse, and Silverado Alexandria made the number one spot on the list owing to its calm, spaciousness, and cleanliness—not to mention the fact that it came highly recommended by more than one care manager and had positive Google reviews. Oh my goodness! Well, the Executive Director is the BEST I have ever experienced. And then that wonderfulness just melts all the way down to EVERYONE who works there. I think their biggest strength is their absolute commitment to from before you even move in they are setting up meetings to listen to you. They are so serious about listening to your needs and finding ways to resolve your issues. They are so kind and accepting if you do have a problem. You never feel like you are the problem.
