Excellent service from start to finish!
I ordered a TKX kit for my 68 Camaro. $4800 later I find out that the shifter isn’t included. It’s a kit and it was $4800. You mean to tell me I have to specifically order that? And of course I find out the day I drop the car at the transmission shop. I could order one for $89 but they will have the transmission installed by the time it gets here. Hoping that there wasn’t anything else that wasn’t included in the “kit”. I’m sure the transmission will be great but this is really annoying.
I purchased the SST kit to put a TR4050 in my 68 K10 a few months ago. From the very start of the project it has been nothing but headaches. Each individual instance by itself I probably wouldn't bat an eye but all of these combined were unacceptable in my opinion. First the kit shipped to me, missing a few bolts, I contacted SST and they gave me the bolt size and part number to get on my own. The one and only company to go to. I have used them for two projects. 54 Chevy 3100 mating a tremec 5 speed to a 235 inline 6 and and 71 Bronco with a tr 4050 bolted to a 408 stroker. Their knowledge and customer service is unmatched. I couldn’t find a template needed for holes to cut in the firewall, called them, and 2 days later it was in the mailbox no questions asked except how can we help. Can’t wait to use them on the next one.
We just ordered our second tremec tkx trans package from Silver Sport and I will tell ya that the service is exceptional and the product is outstanding. Chris Sitzmore is our go to guy over there and he has been a tremendous help from the beginning. His knowledge and expertise is awesome and I Highly recommend!!!
