Stay elsewhere. Over priced for what it is and the staff were less than accommodating. We followed check out instructions and then were told we’d be charged for moving the furniture around and not putting it back.
Some of the worst hospitality we’ve ever experienced. The place is fine, but the staff is cold and is looking to charge you extra for whatever they can. Apparently there is an unknown set of policies that will allow them to charge you extra for small little things. Don’t dare move a coffee table or you’ll be charged extra. Didn’t bring a vacuum with you on your trip in the mountains where you inevitably get dirty? You’ll be charged extra for “debris.” Would not stay again.
Are you familiar with the phrase, "the customer is always right?" Silver Skis Chalet most certainly is not and instead prefers, "the customer is always responsible for an additional fee." Hell, at this point, I would not be surprised if we are charged an additional fee for leaving this review. I mean sure, that isn't listed anywhere on the website, included in the rental agreement, or posted on the property, but such things as "notice" don't bother Silver Skis when they see a chance to milk their guests for some more money. ... read more
We booked a room here for the convenience of our team running the Ragnar Rainier event. Unfortunately, this year’s experience was extremely disappointing compared to last year. From the start, the staff were unwelcoming and unpleasant. We drove sprinter vans for our team (as we did last year without issue), and were shocked to be heckled and harassed by staff and security for parking them in the lot. Update - Andria and the team reached out, were very understanding, and helped find a very fair resolution. I look forward to staying with them in the near future. Good customer service is sure hard to find. I have great memories from here when I was a kid. Now a Dad, my daughters and I were traveling from Florida and looking forward to a fun ski trip, but unfortunately one of them fell ill, spiked a fever, and we had to cancel the entire trip.
