Best of the best! We have taken our dogs there since 1988 and have nothing but good things to say about Dr Hatch and Anita.
I have been going to Silver Sage Vet Hospital for years and have been very pleased with them. Actually most of my family and many of my friends go there as well. I have always gotten excellent care for my animals for the staff. When I had to put down our old Corgy the staff was very good. They even cried with us. I would like to suggest them to anyone who is looking for a vet in the Reno area.
I am surprised that there has never been a review entered for the Silver Sage Vet Hosp. These people are assume. You not find a more caring Vet anywhere and I have been to plenty.
Silver Sage Veterinary Hospital botched putting our dog to sleep (if you could actually call what he went through “sleep”). It was literally one of the worst experiences of my life. Our family dog started having seizures after the first injection, and he was clearly in a great deal of pain. I had to carry my seven year old daughter out of the room because she was completely traumatized from seeing her best friend in agony until he finally passed away (after about five minutes of grueling pain). The vet accidentally pricked himself with a needle while giving my dog his annual shots. I understand that accidents happen, but he got blood on my dogs collar AND my shirt, did not offer to replace the ruined items, and I did not even receive an apology. He just bled all over my pet and my shirt, and went on like it was business as usual! Cmon!!!
Silver Sage took great care of my cats. One cat was very old, had a tumor and had to be put to sleep. It was UNBELIEVABLE how comforting and understanding the staff was with the service they provided and the way they helped me deal with the issues. Another cat had bladder stones and the staff went out of there way to deal with a very difficult situation when it was discovered that a botched surgery had been performed on the cat years before I adopted her.
