The place was insanely overpriced. My mom booked the place for our CNY banquet. She had asked the host an idea for the dinner twice and he replied that "we will based the prices on the menu". And the receipt wasn't a receipt, it was a photocopy of the bill. The food dishes were not itemized either. In past CNY dinners, she had spent $300, so she was a bit angry when she found out the bill was $770, including drink, tax, and tip. Host also didn't tell that tip was included to bill. If you want dim sum, this place is ok. In te... read more

Dim Sum, anyone? – Okay, so this isn't exactly Flushing, Queens, nor Chinatown, but it is the BEST authentic Chinese restaurant in Bergen County, New Joisey. My husband and I frequent the place and are always greeted with the utmost courteous manner and with smiles I must add...our faces with the owner, Lee, are branded with a 10% VIP discount. High Priced, Mediocre Quality Chinese Cuisine – A friend recommended Silver Pond for Dim Sum so I decided to try. My experience was disaponting to say the least. Some of the dishes they brought out were slightly above room temperature and must have been sitting around for a while. The food not not nearly the quality you can get in Chinatown. Also, since it's one of a handful of Dim Sum places in NJ, they charge a ridiculous price. Dim Sum at this place cost me $53 with tip for me and my wife. Neither one of us eats large por... read more

This is authentic?!?!?! – From the outside, this LOOKS like an authentic Chinese seafood restaurant. For the untrained, Chinese seafood is all about fresh fish, steamed to perfection with the right amount of lite sauce, scallions, ginger...its about homecooking! Okay, my mouth is watering. Plus, its about being treated right. When we moved into the Fort Lee area, we were delighted to see this on Main Street: an so-called authentic place where we can order the best of the home-cooked meal! NOT A CHANCE! From the owner who bar... read more
