Today I was lucky enough to get to meet the owner of the store and experience buying yarn at a “shop” instead of a regular craft store right down to the winding machine! I’m a new crocheter, fascinated by the looping of yarn to make amazing patterns of color and texture. Anyway, the store was amazing and so was the rookie advice and experience. I can’t wait to go back!
Finally got there for the 1st time on Friday. What a selection! Will definitely plan a return trip!

This is a great yarn shop. A wide variety of yarn, and a lot of fun kits.
Silver Creek Cabin is the greatest yarn store! The selection and inventory is amazing. It is a cozy, cute and stocked full shop in Buffalo, MN. If you knit or crochet, check it out! It is worth a trip to Buffalo, if you are not from the area! Patty, the owner and her employees are very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Silver Creek Cabin carries so much fun yarn and accessories, I wish I was able to knit more and faster!
The way that manager/owner speaks to customers is awful. First, how could one person manage to wind their skeins of yarn and have no issues with 2 out of the 3? Even stated the yarn that was the issue was old, it was requested for her simply to exchange the twisted yarn that would continue to be an ongoing issue when attempting to use that yarn. For the yarn lovers out there, this is the place to be! The variety is amazingly wide. Fiber nirvana💕. Undoubtedly, the yarn/fiber shop with the “mostest”. The only thing negative I have to say is I live 30 miles away; the distance doesn’t deter me as I’m already planning my next trip😃. Knowledgeable, helpful and friendly staff as well.
