We always take this trail from Bishop up- over and down wyman springs when riding the dirt bikes over to Tonopah. Steep-rocky and scenic!
We always take this trail from Bishop up- over and down wyman springs when riding the dirt bikes over to Tonopah. Steep-rocky and scenic!
Came down in '87 as a shortcut, ignoring the tiny '4WD' sign after some successful prior experiences elsewhere. Cooked the stock '67 VW camper brakes. Chalk it up to dumb college-age ideas. Ball-bearing switchbacks were the most hair-raising, catching traction at the cracks in the smooth rock surface. Fairly low gearing saved us.
Great trail, 100% doable in a stock Wrangler or Gladiator or 4Runner. On the way down be sure to engine break
