I attend the Legends class at Silk City Fit. It’s a class for 55 and older. I have never been a person who worked out consistently. Other places just never fit my needs. I love this class and group of people. I have been attending consistently for 8 weeks and truly do not want to miss a class. The owners Cory and Sarah are truly kind and caring individuals. Our Coach Ginny, is the best. It’s a great place to get conditioned, challenge yourself and bonus make new friends with the same goals. It’s awesome!
I started Crossfit as a newbie to that type of fitness and Silk City Fit has been the best introduction. They have created such a safe space for beginners and help tailor the workouts to your ability. While also encouraging you to test your abilities. An added bonus of knowing one of the owners from high school.
I started at Silk City about 21/2 years ago. To be honest, the whole CrossFit thing seemed intimidating. However, Cory, Liza, and the other coaches were so welcoming and encouraging that I felt comfortable right away. Terrific community, great people!
Excellent CrossFit gym! The coaches are incredible, the owners Cory and Sara are amazing, and the gym itself is huge, well organized, clean, and has plenty of rig space, barbells, weights, etc. They also run this CF gym like a business, which not all CF gyms do. There is a weekly newsletter, extras such as skills clinics, a foundation to give back to the community, and little things that go a long way like Cory making a point to say hi and fistbump everyone in class even if he isn't coaching.
